,,, i know this isnt really "pain" related like a muscle pain,,,, but this cut i got right at the joint of my index (picking hand) finger has totally messed me up... can;t even keep my picking steady for 4 notes per beat.... and playing heavy on thicker strings causes pain after a bit... yeah Toni Iommi can play with his tips cut off.. but im not him .. just hoping this goes away,, this happend a couple months ago too. Quite a piss off after putting in a lot of effort and then just losing so much progress..
ah that sucks delta .. yea my finger still isnt healed fully and havent been able to pick with my index but i have been picking using my middle,, so much so that im scared im becoming too comfortable with it but either way im losing progress i guess,,,,,, but yeah another week or so and i hoppe to be back at ,, hope youre recovering aswell!
I see Adam,, thanks ! and yea totally agree this forum has helped me quite a bit,, and ive only uploaded a few videos for critique, very useful being able to take in ideas from a variety of different guitarists here. So pissed though I got a nasty cut on my index right at the joint on my picking hand..... havent been able able to grip a pick in almost 2 weeks. I've still been practicing trills, and ladder exercises though :)
Thanks Ashan and Adam, yea ive been practicing fretting fingers 1 and 2 now for a couple days, very difficult still. I was accenting the open a bit too much, just to for me to work with the metronome, but im guessing that isnt proper right? Also my sg is only a low end epiphone but i still love it haha!
thanks for the replies, and ill try that out! I havent been using a metronome recently because i havent been really serious when going to practice im going to start including that into my practicing.
Update: havent stopped practicing, but havent been practicing enough. trying to get back on track with these exercises . Getting alright with this picking one so i should start using a metronome now i think to clean it up
ladder, having problems keeping the 1st and 2nd fingers controlled while doing this exercise.
yes, I always knew he didn't really mean sell it, and if he said that to you and it didn't motivate you to go practice harder, and you did just go sell it, that just shows how far you are willing to go with playing.
okay sorry im late on this one, suffered a pretty bad back injury Saturday and just feelin better today.

I only made it up to 6s in the video and I realized counting 7s is really hard for me, and am wondering how do you guys count it, do you count 1234567 or is there something like for 3s where you can go tri' po' la'?
