Description Spirit Wind Records recording artist and One World Music and Native American Music Award Winner David Rose, of Mexican and Native American heritage (Choctaw/Cherokee), has been a lifelong musician and is very passionate about music. David currently resides in Elizabethtown, PA, with his wife Cindy and two cats. He graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in the Music Technology and Marketing program. David freelances as a recording/mixing engineer, and he has presented lectures and workshops in recording and mixing. He has recorded as a solo artist and with several bands. David has performed in music festivals across the country, and has been nominated for an Indian Summer Music Award and nominated several times for NAMA (Native American Music Award). David's flute music was featured on internationally acclaimed Mars Lasar's “Tahoe Spirit.” Music from this CD was used in Jeff Corwin's MSNBC documentary, "100 Heartbeats." As a solo performer he has performed at weddings, art gallery openings, historical venues, libraries, public events, charity events for veterans, and educational functions. In 2008, he performed as part of the The Gatherings Concert Series in Philadelphia, PA, hosted by Chuck van Zyl, host of Stars End radio program, aired on WXPN 88.5. In 2013, David released his solo CD "Wind Dance Under The Moon" through Spirit Wind Records. This album was awarded best Native American Flute album of 2013 by One World Music/UK, it was #1 on the One World chart, and it was ranked #82 by Zone Music Reporter on the New Age chart in November, 2013. Since that time, David has released several additional CDs including a Music of the Winds Healing Soundscapes Series. In 2016, David Rose and Pete Barhart won debut group of the year at the Native American Music Awards. Latest activities
