since c major scale is build like this cdefgabc and the tones are :

1st tone is resting tone
2nd tone is floading tone
3rd tone is resting tone
4th tone is leading tone
5th tone is tone thet can resolves up or down
6th tone is floading tone
7th tone is resting tone

the minor pentatonic scale is build like this 1 b3 4 5 b7 so my question in what kind of a relationship are tones betwen eachothers is the first also resting tone an soo on

musictheory.net is a good tool for teaching yourself to hear what each sounds like

Chord 7ths resolve down by step leading tones resolve up by half step to establish "do".

There is no such thing as a floating tone...And as for resting or leading tones...it really depends on what is known as "harmonic context" to say whether or not a particular tone wants to pull to another or is content to stay put right where it is.

Harmonic context is what gives will to the tones you play...makes them want to stay put or move around...it is the reason modes mean very little...in other words..it is the reason that those Cs', D's, E's, F's, G's, A's, and B's will always drift back towards either the C's or the A's. The only exceptions of course being when a V/of of or a vii/of from a closely related key pops up...but nevermind that for right now Just get familiar with how C,d,e,f,g,a,b sounds and see how much your ears can notice with your ATTENTION TO DETAIL! <------------ this is capitalized to stress the importance thereof(-:

Stop saying this. This is the 2nd or 3rd time you have said modes mean very little. Tell that to Pat Martino, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, or pretty much ANYONE and they would toss you in a dumpster or laugh at you.

Tell that to Mick Goodrick who spent quite a bit of time teaching at Berklee and writing books on modes and he'd tell you to take a hike.

Tell that to Pebber who knows more modal theory than anyone I've ever met, and he will kung fu chop you in the head.

A mode is a scale. It happens when you take the notes of a scale and re-order them. You can generate modes from major, melodic minor, harmonic minor, and harmonic major.

If you take those scales and re-order the notes it becomes a new scale.

Example:
C major scale = C D E F G A B C

D E F G A B C D = D Dorian mode

o that will explain wery much because i didnt know that the other name for scales is mode, or changed scale, tnx a lot for explaining to me what modes are,and in that case i will agree with you that the modes are wery important,like experimenting with music or searching for new sounds :)

In any major scale the
tonic and 3rd are resting tones
the 5th is called an "active 5th" (wants to resolve downward or upward to the tonic)
The 4th is an active leading halfstep (wants to resolve DOWNWARD to the 3rd)
the 7th is an active leading halfstep (wants to resolve UPWARD to the tonic)
the 2nd and 6th are active wholesteps (they can go in any direction but have less pull than active leading halfsteps).

MODES have been used for over 2400 years now starting with the Ancient Greeks and longer than that if you examine Indian, Turkish, Asian and Middle Eastern music and also the music of Bulgaria, Romania, Russia and Hungary. MODES are used quite a bit in modern music and jazz music and now even lots of rock and metal music.

i recive your user name an password and i cant download the videos,when i click on te video lesson a vlc player shows and there is just a black screen,when i try to download save as i was able to download just theory vol 1a.

??? i dont know what to do,please help

Yes there are way more - not available for download though.
Once someone PAYS for a monthly subscription and stops
CANCELING their subscription, you get SENT monthly videos.
You have signed up and canceled, signed up and canceled,
signed up and canceled several times in a row. This is not
how I do lessons - people sign up, get monthly videos
(usually for several months) and then when they need time
to practice the materials, THEN they cancel - or just stay on.
NOT signup/cancel, signup/cancel, signup/cancel - thats
utterly maddening!
