Just thought everyone needed to hear this. Probably the most complicated rock song ever. Zappa even commented that he could never get his band (which were all virtuosos) to play it properly live.

I think Pebber said something along the lines of Mclaughlin or Holdsworth would get a sound in their head which they could not express for 2 years.

It's not a song commonly mentioned among Zappa's best work, but it's always been high on my list. This is the studio version. Zappa had to find all these different performances and splice it together because the band couldn't play it correctly.

I also really dig the cover art for this record. Definitely one of my favorite album covers of all time. Always cracks me up. Just a few lines but it really makes the point ya know?

HAHA. According to the pic it looks like the witch will get ran over and get turned into chum. Then the sharks will eat this chum and gain the witch's powers. I think we have the makings of B horror movie.

Another one of my faves. Made even better with Pebber's hilarious stories of the locale in question.

Anyone know if there are any professional grade tranwscriptions of Muffin Man floating around out there? I would greatly fancy an accurate visual representation of some of the guitar antics that were in the original recording.
