Does anyone know a cd player which has a loop function and slow down function (which doesnt effect the pitch)?

Google shows me some DJ equipment which is by far too expensive.

edit: ive found something:
Tascam CD-GT2 Guitar Trainer

Does anyone use such tools to learn solos or whatever?

notenjesus. If you have Winamp or can install Winamp (I have ver. 5.63) then 'The PaceMaker Plug-in v2.6' at http://www.surina.net/pacemaker/ is what you're looking for.

I use one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Tascam-GB-10-Guita...+guitar+trainer

Best money I have ever spent. I have all my songs for my band on there, all of Pebber's backing tracks, any backers that I'm using if I'm studying a particular book, plus it has a tuner and metronome. I use it daily for all my practices and throw it in with my case whenever I travel. Can't go wrong at $100 either...

AceLuby, thank you a lot! I'll definitely purchase this device.

EDIT: hm, ive red some reviews on amazon:

"The slowdown features of the device are disappointing as well"
"nice, easy to use features but the loop is utter crap. Every other Tascam trainer has worked much better in looping mode. "

Man, i dont know. I m alternate between the boss device and the tascam device.

Never had an issue with it and loop licks all the time. Works the exact same as the CD trainer from what I can tell. I've used it to learn about 50 different songs since buying it last summer. Never used the Boss device, so I can't comment on whether one is better than the other. All I know is that if mine broke, I would IMMEDIATELY purchase a new one.

My tascam arrived in the post today, came all the way from Hong Kong!

Has anybody on here who owns one find a good source of backing tracks for it? Or Any tips on using it..

I have all of PB's backers on mine, all of my songs for my band to practice, and a few tunes that are on there to constantly keep learning new songs and/or solos.

To put songs on it just plug it into your PC and put the MP3s on there like an external HDD and you'll be good to go. It's pretty intuitive when you start to play around w/it. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help as much as possible.

.... Thank's, I'm reading the destructions with a cuppa just now.... I am learning the 5 position system and it would be nice to be able to apply the shapes to backing track chord progressions.

Chris good idea. I am learning 5 pos as well.....the way i practice is at 40 bpm...and every lap i do i go to 1/8 notes, 1/16 notes, and so on.
This will be a good alternative if I want to improv a little( which I need to start doing )
