I have been having thIs problem at the band that I play .
For exemple : in some parts of a song where we have a chord
Like A/C#... I like to play the C# on my bass, the keyboard is playing A/C# and the guitar I don't know I think us playing C#m, or I don't know what he is playing but it is sounding terrible.
Same thing with B/D# I think the guitar is clashing with bass and keyboard...
How would you go about fixing this problem? Should I play the A note on the bass? Am I doing it wrong?
I have been playing bass at bands for over 16 years but I never studied bass ever in my life...
I study guitar and performe as a bassist for over 16 years .... Go figure....

think the guitarist is playing the wrong chord? im not sure but for a Amajor chord with a c# on bass it should be one of these inversions?

Dont double your leading tones...This is probably you are doung that doesnt sound good
