Something I noticed when I trill

So Lets say I am executing a trill btw/ fingers 1 and 3...I plant my pointer finger on the 2nd fret of g-string (A) and trill it with my ring finger on the g-strings 4th fret (B)...just doing this is no problemo for me...when fingers 2 and 4 are hovering above fret board...but as I am bringing other fingers onto frets (lets say I decide to have finger 2 holding down the third fret of B-string and finger 4 (pinky) holding down 5th fret of b-string as well...now executing the trill btw/ the A & B natural on the g-string is very difficult for me...In other words; trills are increasingly difficult for me as I have more fingers planted on frets as opposed to letting them chill in the air...Is this a problem? And if it is, how should I carefully go about fixing it?
