Wondering if you can help me. I'm watching your video 'Music Theory Workshop 11-18-12',

About 18mins in you describe how all the notes of a Major scale fit and which tones want to move to what notes and which are the stable tones. (1 and 3 are stable, 2-6 float, 4 wants to go down to 3 etc...)

What are the characteristics of the other 5 chromatic notes not in Major scale be?

Is it similar for Natural minor, Harmonic minor etc?

Is this similar to what is taught in Dick Grove's ear training courses?
