Ya that books called the outliers. I am well aware of the 10,000 hour rule and I have tons of time to practice.(and I use that time) I was just dwelling on how long you should develop something before going to another exersice. But thanks for the help I'm pretty sure that I Know what to do to get out of this rut.

Sorry if i gave the wrong impression, but i'm just a kid and unfortunately i don't have enough money to pay for lessons. If i had a job i would definitely pay for lessons, after watching Pebber's videos over and over again and getting better at guitar the more i listen and practice, i think he deserves the money even for the free stuff! But now that I am aware that you can pay for more lessons, I'm going to try my best to get enough money for at least a few

One last thing regarding the amount of arpeggios there is to learn: you know how there is many different combinations of formulas for chords? Well if youre in the process of mapping them out and learning them, could you do the exact same thing with arpeggios, since there basically chords played as melodic intervals?

Thankyou very much for your reply. I have been very reluctant about singing when it came to memorizing scales, arpeggios etc.(i think mostly because my voice dosent have the range to hit all the notes from the 6th to 1st string) But seeing how many people view how important it is i am definately going to follow through with singing what i play.
