Hello, ladies and the gents. This is my 1st post here. I am from Pančevo, Serbia, ecological black spot of Europe, because of industrial pollution and effects of NATO campaign during 1999. Enough of poison. Can anybody tell me how long lasts one pick (I use Jazz III) if you play several hours everyday? I ask because after about 7 days, pick becomes sharp and it`s very hard to hold pick under 45° and be precise. Sometimes, after one gig, pick becomes too sharp, especially if I play funk songs. Probably I hit the strings too hard. So, how long it takes to change a pick if you normally practice several hours everyday?

Well, I have had a few Jazz III picks and, at least for me, they last for quite awhile! I don't have an exact "expiration date" on mind, but some of my picks lasted for years (mind you sometimes I stop playing for some weeks for several reasons). What string gauge do you use?

I play d'addario 10-46. Thx for the answer. Interesting. When I practice several hours everyday, especially picking exercise, or lot of funk songs, after 7-14 days pick becomes sharp like a razor blade and I can`t pick at the angle of 45° anymore because pick just slides too easy down the string. It gives no resistance anymore and i play less precise. I have read on the internet, some people waste a pick at one rehearsal. It happens to me on almost every "gig" at club. I give all wasted picks to my neighbour who plays so good that I call him Serbian John Mayer and he says: Very nice, NEW picks! He can play one pick at least 6 months, maybe a year. I also can play songs with wasted picks, but can`t practice serious exercises like x-pattern, ladder, picking on 6 strings and others from pbguitarstudio in a proper way - at angle of 45°. Yes, I ask for exact expiration date :) Or, how is it possible to play in a proper way with wasted pick?

Never heard of that brand. Looks like a great pick, hopefully I can find one over here! Thanks for the tip!
