I was wondering if anybody had this same problem that u have..
I played finger style for 12, 13 years , classical, pop, bossa nova etc,..
recently I have practiced pick 2 3 4, and my wrist is hurting like crazy, I have been using a brace on my arm for a week now at work and every where...
I think it is because of my pinky finger right hand... I don't know if I over practiced or there is sone nerve Conection that doesn't go eell with that kind of movement ...
So today I didn't practice P234 and I noticed no pain on my wrist....
So My conclusion is that I won't be practicing much of P234 , I still can use it sons time in a song but won't be practicing it every day for a long period of time...
Oh yeah and those long nails pisses me right off too, can't wait to clip it all off tonight...

If it hurts, don't play... simple as that...

But I never listened to myself, so if you're impatient like me, try to figure out what detail of your technique approach is causing you the pain. Maybe it's overuse of wrist motion like it was in my case in my pre-sarod period. Or it's overuse of just using the scalpel. But I believe it's wrist overuse. Do the Sarod rotation motion. Analyze it man, and play some good guitar music again ;)

And clip those long nails already. :D
