    Hi guys,

    Watch this, it's maybe not exactly plastic, maybe not even a game, but it's still fun to take a look at these "guys" , showing what happens if you only practice and even forget eating & breathing :

    Forum post by KomenEten. Topic: Pebber's DVDs

    @BuffaloBill :
    Recently I ordered the first 2 DVD's from Pebber and they were shipped internationally (to Belgium, Europe), so that answers one of your questions.

    The reason I ordered these 2 DVD's in 2 separate orders is customs-regulation : over here some scheme exists which states that under a certain "estimated" value, no VAT is to be payed by the receiver (=me) and no custom taxes are to be payed by the receiver. As from a certain value, VAT is to be paid but not yet custom taxes, and from still another (higher) value we also have to pay custom taxes.
    (These can become really substantial compared with the actual price of the goods you're buying)
    Worst thing is that it's usually unpredictable... Sometimes I think it even might depend on whether it looks like a real "package" or whether it's just a big brown enveloppe.

    That is the main reason why I would SO MUCH PREFER a downloadable instance, to avoid this whole customs-hassle !

    By the way, I didn't have any problem with the region codes of the DVD's (but to be honest, I've only used them on my laptop until now, not an a stand-alone DVD player)

  • free Software playing sheet musicDateMon Feb 11, 2013 4:06 am

    I would just like to add a few FREE "lite" versions of music notation programs, which I found a few months ago and could maybe interest some of you:

    Finale Notepad, to be considered as a free introduction to music notation software ("lite" version of the famous Finale software)
    and
    Pizzicato Light, also an introductory version of its larger companion Pizzicato (Guitar, or Notation or Pro)

  • A little help getting started pleaseDateMon Feb 11, 2013 12:35 am

    Hi,
    I'm rather new myself on this forum as I discovered Pebber's (note the apostrophe !) website only recently. There is plenty of material you can find on Pebber's website and especially on Pebber's Youtube channel. One detail: his name is Pebber, and that doesn't end on "s".
    Enjoy .
