I dug the Mick Barr video. Since I have been listening to jazz for 40+ years, I have no problem in hearing the "melodic," content. As far as the Howe "sunny" thing, I do not dig it. I do not think the tone works for that tune, & that LA commercial fusion style, just not interesting to me. I could listen to Barr, the Howe thing was actually not working for me. Just my opinion.
