  • Guitars for Speed?DateSat Apr 28, 2012 8:16 am

Hey guys, I've use got some cash I've been saving from work to buy a new guitar. I have an American Standard Strat and a cheap Epiphone.
I played a friends Ibanez and its a lot faster than a strat and just felt like a more comfortable guitar.

What are your thoughts on Ibanez guys? Any good/bad experience with certain models? I've been looking at a used RGA model for $700

I know that getting a new guitar won't suddenly make me like suddenly play like a pro but obviously some guitars are built better for speed (like Ibanez)

I'd like to know your thought 0_0

    THANKS!

Hey guys so i've managed to get some cash saved up and want to take online lessons with the PB. I'm just wondering, as well as the online video swap, do you get a user name and password for the "lesson videos" for the daily practice module 1...2...3... It says authentication required...username...password...? Do you get emailed a username and password when you subscribe?

Also do you get more PDF files to download than free members?

Sorry if this has already be stated somewhere but I couldn't find it anywhere.

    Many thanks!

Thanks Pebber! Would you suggest I learn all 6th string roots, then move onto 5th string, then 4th? Or is there another way??

    Thanks again man!

Hey guys, I've been playing about 2 years and want to expand knowledge to play jazz, blues, bebop.

I'm starting where Pebber suggests, with the 5 position systems. I watched the "scale systems" videos on YouTube, downloaded the PDF file and I'm learning them G. Once you learn the major, all minors, pents, arpeggio, do you then move onto another key...say A? And so on.

After you've learnt the keys on the 6th string, do you switch to the 5th string and learn it there, then the 4th string?

I'm a student and I suck and the music I play at college sucks, I have loads of free time, I usually practice between 11pm -4am but I suck. I Am going to subscribe here once I get so some spare cash.

Pebber you're an inspiration and an awesome teacher!
