now I'm a bit confused. I have practiced many months the classical technique with chromatic scale and I'm find with it. But I thought the permutations were "designed" to generate fingering independence and that you had to lift every finger after you played the note.of course it is not the classical technique....but it helped to practice your brain - finger connection.

Hi, I forgot to mention that I do almost the entire set of excercises for both hands, provided by PB.Debilius...thanks I will give it a try, and this may solve the issue...but I don't think I'm correcting the weakness on the fingers with this, right? is just another way of doing the permutations...

I couldn't find:4-Finger LadderPivot ExercisesSymmetric Scale patterns reverse anglingPentatonic Long pattern exercisesPentatonic Directional patternsOpen string pentatonic patternsAnother question PB, I only know some exercises of module 1 and 2, and that is what I practice all day. I don't know what a Diminished (mi3) Scale is or a Dominant 8-note Scales is. I can practice by memory but I don't really enjoy it...so should I start with some theory while my fingers are g...

Thanks Pebber, I totally agree of a good technique by practicing the way it must be practice, which is what I try to do on every day. My doubt was for example, If I also have to use the same technique for if a practice the pentatonic scale. When I move from string 1 to string 2, before I pick on the 2dn string, do I have to wait to have both 1st and 4th fingers placed on the threads, or do I do it like in the ladder excercises and pick them as I place my finger on the threads?
