Taking the plunge!

A few days ago, after being an admirer of Pebber's FREE lessons and Youtube videos for over a year, I decided that I would try Pebber's introductory subscription lessons to see if his program was a good fit for my needs.

Why didn't I do this sooner???

In the past several days, I have been able to go through my first video(s) which I have access to as a level one student, several of them more than once, and played along with as much as I was able without further practice. I furthermore made a skeleton outline of the various exercises and practices which are covered in each video, so I can remember what's at the buffet, and go back to the parts where I need to spend more time.

...I'm amazed at how much I've already been able to benefit by working with these videos, and select concepts from them, and have learned many new ideas, e.g. 3 novel ways of using the pick.

Although many of the Module 1 picking exercises thus far offered are not necessarily very complicated to someone with some experience playing the guitar, it would be a grave mistake to underestimate the value of really digging in and working these practices hardcore. Building strength and repeating patterns that are difficult, gradually increasing the speed, is paying off. In such a short time I can already feel growth in my abilities and technique, and I'm excited to continue.
